DENVER, Colorado – At CEDIA 2013 HARMAN’s Revel is expanding its 2-Series in-wall/in-ceiling speaker lineup with the introduction of its C283LP shallow-mount and C263LP shallow-mount in-ceiling speakers, designed to deliver high-performance sound in areas where installation space is limited.

The C283LP and C263LP shallow-mount in-ceiling speakers can fit into a mounting space only 2.8 inches deep. The C283LP shallow-mount features an 8-inch woofer and 1-inch tweeter and the C263LP shallow-mount employs a 6-1/2-inch woofer and 1-inch tweeter.

“We’ve introduced our Revel C283LP and C263LP shallow-mount speakers in response to installer and customer demand for a Revel in-ceiling speaker that would fit in areas where other in-ceiling speakers can’t, yet where top-quality sound is desired,” said Jim Garrett, Director of Marketing and Product Management, HARMAN Luxury Audio Group and Loudspeakers. “Both models are competitively priced and deliver the exceptional performance listeners expect from Revel.”

Both models are designed for easy installation using standard dog leg-type mounting hardware. Both feature magnetic round (or optional square) paintable grilles to blend into any décor. The C283LP and C263LP shallow-mount speakers fit standard preconstruction brackets and holes for existing Revel in-wall and in-ceiling models. Both speakers incorporate high-quality drivers and components including cast frame aluminum cone woofers, 1-inch aluminum-dome tweeters and high-order crossover networks for accurate tonal reproduction, with minimal sonic coloration and freedom from distortion over a wide dynamic range. The shallow-mount C283LP and C263LP are voice-matched to seamlessly blend with other Revel in-wall, in-ceiling and freestanding loudspeakers.

The Revel 2-Series C263LP and C283LP shallow-mount in-ceiling speakers will be available in September 2013 at suggested retail prices of $225 and $275 respectively.
