It’s often been said that the best time to buy a new TV is just before the Superbowl. It looks like people have taken that saying to heart as 22% of HDTV owners in the USA bought their TVs just to watch the Super Bowl according to a new study from the Consumer Electronics Association. The study, called Sport and Technology Study V, shows that there’s no other event that prompts the purchase of new TVs as does the Super Bowl.
